Objective To discuss the methodology of Chinese medical effect evaluation through evaluating the total curative effect of treatment plan integrated Chinese and western medicine on SARS. Method Three synthetic evaluation methods (including nonlinear weighting
linear weighting and topsis) were used and combined with two forms of subjective-weighting and objective-weighting to evaluate the data in the same one group. Result An arrange in synthetic evaluation of curative effects of seven treatment plans was obtained. The synthetic evaluation was applied in the practice of effect evaluation of Chinese medicine. The characteristics and applied ranges of different methods were analyzed deeply. Conclusion A synthetic evaluation is an ideal method for the multi-index and multi-property evaluation.
