T: Objective To observe the influence of Siduqing at different doses on mortality in mice with endotoxemia and the mechanism. Method The model of mouse endotoxemia was established by intraperitoneal injection of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) at a dose of 30 mg/kg
then the mice were given Siduqing orally at doses of 125 mg/L (group1)
250 g/L (group 2)
500 g/L (group 3)
1 000 g/L (group 4) and 2 000 g/L (group 5) respectively. The mortalities of the groups were observed and the levels of tumor necrotizing factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-10 (IL-10) in mouse plasma were detected by ELISA. Result The mortalities in group 2
3
4
5 were decreased respectively. The best dose of Siduqing was 1 000 g/L (in group 4). Siduqing decreased the level of TNF-α and increased the level of IL-10 in mice with endotoxemia. Conclusion Siduqing decreases mortality of mouse with endotoxemia in a dose-dependent manner. One of its mechanisms may be related to its effect of decreasing the level of TNF-α and increasing the level of IL-10 in plasma.
